This month Governors Il Moran Camp has undergone a very exciting total soft furnishing upgrade as part of phase one of our camp upgrade project.

Five of the tents have been turned into permanent twins with beds made from old dhow sailing ships. All the tents are now wheelchair accessible. There are new chic concrete outside seating areas on all the tent verandahs. All the tents have new carpets, all new linen including new towels, sheets, feather pillows, duvets and new cushions. The double tents have sofas at the end of the bed and all the tents have new writing desks. All the tents will have their own minibar and their own reverse osmosis water filtration system which eliminated the need for plastic bottled water.

In the bar / mess tent we have added all new sofa sets and cushions to make some very comfortable and stylish seating areas as well as new sisal carpets.

The dining tent now has new dining chairs, new candle holders, new masai beaded coasters and place mats.

We have placed some outside benches near the river to enjoy the views over the Mara River.

Phase two will be the installing of the new big mess tent which will house the bar, sitting area, dining, reception and shop and will have an outside deck and will be positioned to enjoy views out across the Mara River.
