Amazing FoodSet amongst a family farm of 6,500 acres on the shores of Lake Naivasha, this charming property is steeped in history and dates back to 1939. Guests are invited to enjoy a gentle pace of life; relax by the pool, take in the views or head out on a game drive.
In the original family home, there is one en-suite double room. Close by are three guest cottages (each housing two separate en-suite rooms) and two luxury suites offering incredible views across the lake. We are only a two hour drive from Nairobi and conveniently located for day trips to Lake Nakuru National Park – famous for its rhino and flamingo populations. Daily flights on Governors’ Aviation direct from Nairobi to Loldia House and then to the Masai Mara, make it the perfect place to begin or end your exciting safari holiday around Kenya.
Eco-Tourism Kenya has awarded Loldia House a GOLD rating for its sustainability efforts and environmentally friendly practices.

- LOCATION
An old farmhouse on Loldia ranch which is located on the north-western part of Lake Naivasha, in the Great Rift Valley, Kenya.
- Game drives and excursions
Traditional (day and night) game drives take place on Loldia’s 6,500-acre ranch. Guests going out on a full-day excursion further afield are provided with a picnic breakfast/lunch.
- ROOMS
Beautiful, country-style en-suite rooms in both the main house, the garden cottages and the lake-shore suites.
- MEALS AND DRINKS
Breakfast is a continental and full English, lunch is a set menu with fresh salads, served under the ancient fig tree, overlooking the lake. Dinner is served in the main dining room. We cater for special diets on request and with advance notice.
Guests going out on a full day excursion are provided with a picnic breakfast/lunch. Drinks can be packed and added to your room bill.
The nightly rate includes all soft drinks, beers, house wines and ‘non-premium’ spirits. Champagnes, selected fine wines, premium spirits and liqueurs will be charged as extras. For Groups and Incentives, we reserve the right to charge drinks on consumption or to levy a drinks supplement.
- FACILITIES, ELECTRICITY AND WIFI
- Dining room, sitting room and comfortable verandah with views over Lake Naivasha and Mount Longonot. Gift shop in main house and infinity swimming pool set on an outcrop between two age old fig trees with stunning views across the lake.

- Toiletries; we provide a natural range of ‘Cinnabar Green’ toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap and body lotion) in the rooms. These products are refilled into reusable metal canisters so as to reduce on plastic waste. They are also handmade in Kenya with natural ingredients and are therefore in keeping with the sensitive environment in which we operate. We urge you to please use our products rather than your own. These toiletries are supplied for the duration of your stay with us, and if you would like to buy some to take onwards with you, we sell the full range in the gift shop.
- 220/240 UK Volt plugs in the rooms for charging cameras and phones. Wifi is available in the main areas.

- GETTING TO / FROM LOLDIA
Daily flights from Nairobi to Loldia Ranch are available with Governors’ Aviation. A road transfer from Nairobi to Loldia House takes approximately two hours.
- CHILDREN
We welcome children of all ages to Loldia House.
- ROOM SERVICE
Room service is avaialble on request. Tea and coffee is served in the rooms with the morning wake up call.
- LAUNDRY
Arranged daily at no extra cost.
- CREDIT CARDS AND CASH
Visa and Mastercard are accepted. Please note we cannot accept US dollar bills older than the year 2000.
- SEASONS
Open throughout the year. Peak season months August and September and 15th – 31st December. High season months January – March inclusive and June, July, October, November and 1st – 14th December. Green season – April and May
- RATE EXCLUDES
Rate includes: Local airstrip transfers, laundry, accommodation, meals, all soft drinks, beers, house wines and ‘non-premium’ spirits, game vehicle transfer to the available activities on Loldia ranch.
Rate excludes: Flights, champagnes, selected fine wines, premium spirits and liqueurs, Loldia ranch fees (which are currently US $ 50 per adult and US $ 25 per child, per night, subject to change), entry to other activities off Loldia ranch such as Lake Nakuru National Park and anything of a personal nature e.g. gratuities, spa, gift shop.
- HEALTH AND INSURANCE
