Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and we will transfer you by road (approximately a two hour drive) through the scenically beautiful Great Rift Valley down to Loldia House, nestling on the shores of Lake Naivasha. Enjoy a delicious al fresco style lunch on the lawn overlooking the lake and with Mt Longonot in the distance.

Set amongst a family farm of 6,500 acres on the shores of Lake Naivasha, Loldia House is steeped in history and dates back to 1939. Guests are invited to rest, relax and enjoy a gentle pace of life.

During your time at Loldia, you can enjoy a half or full day of activities on Loldia such as a boat safari on Lake Naivasha, game drives on the ranch, sundowners or simply sit by the pool and take in the views. Visits to our supported partner-projects i.e. The Kenya Bird of Prey Trust or Eburru Forest are encouraged.

Alternatively, head off super early to Lake Nakuru National Park with a packed breakfast. Enjoy a morning game drive around Lake Nakuru, is famous for its abundance of flamingos and a large variety of water birds. The park was declared a rhino sanctuary in 1983 and is currently home to both black and white species which are regularly seen – along with good sightings of leopards. A picnic lunch is served under the acacia trees overlooking the lake, or you can head back to Loldia for a late lunch.

There is also the option to stop at Lake Elmenteita on your way back, a soda lake which is an important breeding site for many threatened bird species and famous for its population of flamingos.

Enjoy breakfast at Loldia before heading off on a very scenic drive (approx. 4 hours) up to Kenya’s central highlands, where a delicious lunch will be waiting for you at Governors’ Mugie.

Governors’ Mugie offers a myriad of activities by which to explore and enjoy Laikipia’s vast open landscapes and rare northern rangeland species.

Please note that is it possible to fly with Governors’ Aviation direct from Loldia to Mugie Airstrip (minimum pax numbers apply, please enquire).

Your days at Governors’ Mugie offer unique sightings of rare and endangered wildlife species that are endemic to this part of Kenya. Guided bush walks, e-bikes, sundowners, lion tracking, bush meals, canoeing, visits to the anti-poaching team and the conservancy headquarters are all included in the rate. Golfing, spa and cultural experiences are at an extra cost.

Depart from Governors’ Mugie after breakfast, flying directly from Mugie Conservancy to the Masai Mara with Governors’ Aviation, where you will be met on arrival and transferred to your accommodation of choice with Governors’ (choose from Governors’ Camp, Little Governors’ or Il Moran).

On arrival in the Masai Mara, it’s a short game drive to camp before an al-fresco style lunch and time to relax. Head out on a thrilling late-afternoon game drive and return at dusk for drinks and chatter around the campfire, before your dinner. Fall asleep to the night-time chorus of the Masai Mara.

Arise early each morning to make the most of your spectacular location. You will have the option of up to three game drives (per full day) within the Masai Mara National Reserve, immersing yourself in this rich wildlife destination.

Depending on your preferences, we have a range of activities to keep you occupied either side of game viewing. We suggest a magical hot-air balloon safari over the Masai Mara if you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure. Please note that a balloon safari is an extra cost.

Enjoy a final early morning game drive, followed by breakfast in camp before heading to the airstrip in time for your Governors’ Aviation flight back to Wilson Airport in Nairobi.
