Harry Blakey is an extremely talented wildlife photographer from the UK and we are honored to have him back with us at Governors’ Camp until January 2024.

Leaving the corporate world at the end of 2020, he took up photography full time to pursue his passion. In 2022, Harry took on the role of Resident Photographer at Governors’ Mugie in Laikipia, where he used his photography and videography skills to document and photograph the dynamics of resident lion prides in the area as well as an endangered collection of species known as The Mugie Five. Harry has also captured some pretty exceptional moments in the wild across the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Tsavo and the Chyulu Hills in Kenya.

Harry’s aim has always been to use his photography as a medium to give back to wildlife conservation efforts. The causes that he donates to are usually related to the subject of the image. Affiliated organisations include Mara Elephant Project, Mara Predator Conservation Programme and the Cheetah Conservation Fund UK.

We are very excited to be hosting Harry between October 2023 – January 2024 at Governors’ Camp. He is available for photo safaris and photo shoots across our areas of operation, see more on this here.
