Kenya
Between Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru lies another of Kenya’s alkaline lakes, Lake Elmenteita. The area is an incredibly important feeding ground for both greater and lesser flamingos and a critical breeding site for great white pelicans.
You can stop off here on your way to Lake Nakuru National Park as it is on the way. Enjoy a leisurely wander along the shoreline and enjoy the sight of beautiful flamingos in their thousands and other animals such as zebras, gazelles, eland, and warthogs.
